This year's meeting scheduled for June 4 to 7, 2001 will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico and will be hosted by Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA). Mr. Angel J. Delgado Torres (aj_delgado@yahoo.com) from PREPA is this year’s meeting secretary. He is planning a trip to PREPA’s newest GIS (Gas Insulated Substation), which features a technology seldom seen in North America. To attend the meeting, please register online at www.sestech.com/ses_users/users.asp.

These annual meetings provide CDEGS users the opportunity to provide input for the enhancement of the software and to review recent changes. They are also a great forum for users to make presentations on electrical safety, transmission line and substation grounding design, improved methods for protecting equipment and pipelines against ac interference, lightning and surge studies, and electromagnetic fields analysis.
