Details of the Update

Program Updated Description
F05TextEditor

The following issues were fixed:

  • Crash when saving to a read-only file.
GraRep

The following issues were fixed:

  • The program can fail to close when used from within SESResap, SESFFT, or SESThreshold.
GRSPLITS-3D

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Rotation About Central-Site feature is not working.
HIFREQ

The following issues were fixed:

  • Cases including metallic plates partially sharing an edge can fail to run.
Right-of-Way

The following issues were fixed:

  • The coating permittivity and permeability are switched when computing the shunt impedance in the Create Circuit operation.
  • It is impossible to invert the order of terminals in two-terminal envelope plots.
  • When using the Per-Tower option in Monitor Fault, the program does not create any SPLITS inductive file when the number of towers is larger than 99.
  • In Monitor Fault, scenarios involving multiple terminals may not run, depending on the type of energization defined in the original circuit file.
  • Monitor Fault can fail when the name of a terminal consists of a single character.
  • The Total Interference model cannot be generated when the Per-Tower option is used in the Monitor Fault module.
  • When the Per-Tower option is used in the Monitor Fault module, the fault current can be calculated incorrectly when the Reference Terminal in the Fault Currents table is not the terminal with the lower terminal number.
  • When using the Create & Process command in the Total Interference module, each fault case requires more time to complete than the previous one.
  • If coatings are defined using one of the Resistance or Reactance options in the MALZ Template File, the resistance or reactance data are not transferred to the Total Interference models.
ROWCAD

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Coating Specification parameters can be incorrectly exported to Right-of-Way in environments that do not use a period as decimal separator.
SESCAD

The following issues were fixed:

  • The thickness of soil layers is incorrectly interpreted as being in meters when opening a HIFREQ file in Imperial units through CDEGS-Specify.
  • Files including background pictures fail to load properly when open through the CDEGS interface.
  • The SES Object Database is empty in Chinese environments.
  • Only the first of the user-defined connections specified in a HIFREQ file is loaded when the file is open through the CDEGS interface.
  • The Applied Field Editor screen is always displayed in the language defined at the operating system level regardless of the selection made for the language in SESCAD.
SESConverter

The following issues were fixed:

  • When typing a period after a zero, the program automatically removes the period.
  • Crash when deleting data in the Color to Radius Editor table.
  • The Default Rod Height is applied incorrectly when the measurement units in the DXF/DWG file are not the same as the Selection of Output SES Units.
  • Using the Reset command to reset all settings leads to different results than using default settings.
  • The program does not allow switching to English as display language on a Chinese operating system.
SESCrossSection

The following issues were fixed:

  • Undo/redo does not work properly when removing component types.
  • Undoing a change of system of units with data conversion does not undo the data conversion.
SESeBundle

The following issues were fixed:

  • The report can display incorrectly in Microsoft Wordpad.

This lists the enhancements in SESeBundle:

  • Allow SESeBundle to work when no TRALIN license is available, using an alternate bundle impedance computation method.
SESFcdist

The following issues were fixed:

  • The default data for a new terminal is not saved unless going to the Edit Terminal screen and clicking OK.
  • No warning is given when overwriting an existing file while saving if the Job ID and/or Working Directory are typed instead of using the file browser.
SESResap

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Initial estimates for horizontal soil model parameters table can become locked after undo/redo operations.
SESResultsViewer

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Use Conductor Filter setting for Configuration switches to a default state after visiting the Computations panel.
  • In the Observation Points and Profile Filters - Search Area window, the Profiles grid and Start/End boxes for Points should be editable only if the corresponding checkbox is selected.
  • The Use Points and Use Profiles settings of the Observation Points and Profiles Filters - Search Area window are not initialized correctly when accessing this window through the More window.
  • The Use Conductor Filters setting is not synchronized between the main and More windows for HIFREQ, Configuration.
  • The Search Radius is lost when accessing the Conductor Filters screen.
  • The program crashes when saving a file over a read-only file.
  • The Coating Type filter is missing in the Conductor Filters list for MALT.
  • Clicking on the Zoom button in the Conductor Filters window loses any previous specifications made in that tool.
  • Entering a value in the To column of the Conductor Groups table in the Conductor Filters screen requires entering twice.

This lists the enhancements in SESResultsViewer:

  • A new Delete All Results on Exit setting is now available from the Options tab. If it is selected, the plots and reports that were generated in the working directory during the session will be deleted upon exiting SESResultsViewer.
  • Allows zooming of plots in the Results Display viewer without holding the CTRL key while using the thumbwheel of the mouse.
  • The Send and Draw Zoom Points command from the Zoom tool is now functional in SESResultsViewer.
  • The program now uses a new plot viewer, with improved image quality. The new viewer also adds the capability of zooming on a region in the plot using the mouse.
  • Plots are now copied to the clipboard in a vector (EMF) format, allowing better rescaling behavior of the pasted plots.
SESThreshold

The following issues were fixed:

  • Safety plots can be incorrect for cases (F21 databases) in Imperial units.
SESTLC

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Number of Points cannot be modified in the Profiles table of the Computations page.
  • The Phase Number is set to zero and cannot be modified in the Phase Wires table of the Cross-Section page.
SESTralin

The following issues were fixed:

  • The column headers of the Energization table always indicate that complex numbers are in polar form even when using the Cartesian display mode.
  • In Circuit mode, it is possible to specify different types of bundles or conductors in the same circuit, which is not allowed by the computation engine.
  • Undoing a change of system of units with data conversion does not undo the data conversion.
  • In Circuit mode, the program always considers that the Energization and environmental study option is selected when loading a file, even when the corresponding TRALIN option is not requested in the file. This makes it impossible to run the file until the Energization and environmental study checkbox is explicitly cleared.
Software Protection

The following issues were fixed:

  • In CDEGS-Legacy, an attempt to start CDEGS-Specify for MALT after loading SESCAD fails with a Usage unauthorized warning for a Multiground license.
  • When license usage logging is activated for a network-based license, lengthy runs of computation modules can report errors about a failure to open a file; this has no impact on the computations.
  • The Modify Circuit module of Right-of-Way can crash in an apparently random fashion.
  • The list of modules available on a network-based license is not immediately refreshed after switching between two different licenses.
  • SESCrossSection does not open if the license does not include SESImpedance.
  • ROWCAD is not able to save if the license does not include SESImpedance.
SoilModelEditor

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Apply to All Volumes feature in the Volume Subdivision screen does not work for the Specify Subdivision option.
  • The Perfect soil model can be selected in modules for which it is not available.
  • Multilayer soils with more than three layers can be imported in the Single and Circuit modes of TRALIN; such soil models are not allowed in those modes.
SESCrossSection (and all user applications: SESeBundle, ROWCAD, CorrCAD)

The following issues were fixed:

  • Undoing a change of system of units with data conversion does not undo the data conversion.
SESFFT, SESTralin, SESResap

The following issues were fixed:

  • The program crashes when it is left open after disconnecting from a remote desktop session.
