Details of Recent Updates

Program Updated Description
CDEGS

The following issue was fixed:

  • A Job ID will fail to get created if its Working Directory has square brackets (“[“ and “]” characters).
SESResultsViewer

The following issues were fixed:

  • A crash can occur upon doing a zoom operation with the mouse in the Results Display panel on an invalid plot that is created under unknown circumstances.
  • For the following scenarios, SESResultsViewer fails to load the F21 file of the selected Job ID if its Working Directory has square brackets (“[“ and “]” characters):
    • Calling it from another program (e.g., CDEGS, SESCAD).
    • Dragging and dropping the F21 file to its program shortcut.
  • In the My Job IDs list of SESResultsViewer (via the Open tab in the Backstage view), it is not possible to drag and drop an F21 file.
  • Closing multiple instances of SESResultsViewer simultaneously causes the Zoom tool to issue “permission denied” error messages during the saving of its settings.
SESTralin

The following issue was fixed:

  • When only a single conductor is defined, the computed self impedance will not be displayed in the results table.

Details of the Service Pack 2 Update (Version 16.0.8470)

Program Updated Description
CDEGS

The following issues were fixed:

  • The Working Directory dialog does not allow access to the top-level Desktop virtual folder; instead, it is rooted at a lower location, This PC. This prevents convenient access to top-level virtual folders like Network, Libraries, and cloud-based services (e.g., OneDrive).
  • The Job ID list is limited to only 50 Job IDs. For example, in a common scenario, when using the Job ID list from CDEGS-Legacy, containing more than 50 Job IDs, only the last 50 Job IDs are preserved in CDEGS.
CorrCAD

The following issues were fixed:

  • A conductor could only be energized if its previous segment had the same cross-section.
  • Importing an entity file containing MALT data will cause a crash.
  • Segmenting a polyline to have upwards of 30,000 nodes makes the application crash.
  • The selected Font size is not applied to all screen elements.
Right-of-Way

The following issues were fixed:

  • In the Total Interference module:
    • The coating correction applied to conductors can be incorrect when the radius of a conductor is small.
    • Connections between pipelines and their mitigation wires can be made in DUMMY sections.
    • When connections between a pipeline and its mitigation wire is required to be made "by length", the length can be incorrectly calculated in the presence of DUMMY sections.
  • When importing data from ROWCAD, lines with DUMMY energizations are marked as DUMMY even in Regions where the line exists physically in ROWCAD.
  • The “Loading Data” message can be displayed permanently after going to the “Advanced Plots” screen.
ROWCAD

The following issue was fixed:

  • The Break Polyline at Regular Locations command takes a long time to run for jagged paths.
SESConverter

The following issue was fixed:

  • The visual color picker for Color Number does not work in the Color to Radius Editor window.
SESCrossSection

The following issue was fixed:

  • Importing a component from the database can make the component unassigned in the Locations table.
SESFFT

The following issue was fixed:

  • All Segment-Related Quantities command does not extract the GPD.
SICL/SICLW

The following issue was fixed:

  • In AutoTransient / FFTSES, time-domain results for quantities related to segments can be incorrect when the analyzed HIFREQ model contains metallic plates.
SESKML

The following issue was fixed:

  • KML output does not correctly export in Chinese in a Chinese environment.
SESResap

The following issues were fixed:

  • On converting between different measurement methods, some of the columns for the spacings can be left empty.
  • On saving a file under a different folder, the current working directory shown in the Open menu becomes unsynchronized with the new location. The output files are also read from the previous location.
SESResultsViewer

The following enhancements were made:

  • New Save Plot and Save Report buttons have been added to offer the ability to save an output directly to a file. Save Plot supports the following common graphics file types: Windows Metafile, Enhanced Metafile, Postscript and Enhanced Postscript.
  • In the Selection group of the Home tab on the ribbon, Save As allows a plot or report to be saved to different formats (the same feature is available on the context menu of a thumbnail):
    • A selected plot can now be converted from Enhanced Metafile format to a JPG, PNG, or PDF format.
    • A selected report can now be saved to PDF format.
  • Memory usage has been greatly reduced.
  • The generated plots and reports are now stored in a temporary folder that is automatically deleted upon exit of the application.

The following issues were fixed:

  • The zone coordinates are incorrect when the database (F21) file is in British units.
  • Play Macro and Record Macro handle paths surrounded by quotes and spaces incorrectly.
  • Extra plots are produced when closing the Filter windows by clicking on the X instead of OK or Cancel.
  • Postscript and Enhanced Postscript files are not handled correctly when playing macros for these plot file types
  • In Windows 7, a Spot-2D plot fails to show the spot cells filled with their color and all texts are outlined with black borders.
  • When using Threshold Editor in SESResultsViewer, the system network and profiles are not displayed, by default, in the Zone Viewer panel and Zone Editor (via Define Custom Zones). The same also applies when SESThreshold is started standalone and linked to a computation database file.
  • Part of the image displayed when plotting can be out of view, even after clicking on Fill.
SESThreshold

The following enhancements were made:

  • Zone Editor in SESThreshold now uses conductors instead of conductor segments to display the network, thereby reducing the number of graphical objects; this may help improve the responsiveness of the graphical features.
  • Threshold computation results appear faster in the table.

The following issue was fixed:

  • When customizing zones in Zone Editor, the program will crash with a message upon trying to move a vertex of a drawn zone of a pre-defined shape (e.g., rectangle, ellipse). This is not an issue if the zone is polygonal or if its vertices have already been exploded.
SESTralin

The following issues were fixed:

  • Undoing a component deletion can lead to duplicate locations in the Energized conductors table on the Induction tab.
  • The program can crash in Circuit mode when a system does not entirely comply with the restrictions applicable in Circuit mode.
Software Protection

The following issue was fixed:

  • Certain values of the time-out limit for network-based software protection keys can cause an error message about an "invalid vendor code" when trying to run the software.
Zone Editor

The following enhancement was made:

  • Zone Editor in SESThreshold now uses conductors instead of conductor segments to display the network, thereby reducing the number of graphical objects; this may help improve the responsiveness of the graphical features.
