There are two ways to define a soil model in AutoGrid Pro: by specifying the results of soil resistivity measurements or by specifying the soil structure explicitly.
When using the first approach, the program interprets the measurement data and deduces the soil structure that best matches the measurements. The second approach is useful when the soil structure is already known (for instance, from a previous analysis using AutoGrid Pro) or when there are known electrical discontinuities in the soil (such as the presence of a lake, a river or a rocky intrusion) that require the use of one of the advanced soil models available in AutoGrid Pro.
In this tutorial, where the soil measurement data is provided and we will illustrate using the first approach by Specifying the Results of Soil Resistivity Measurements.
